Send Us Your Print Project

Upload your files. Tell us what you need. We’ll take it from there.

You don’t have to be a print expert. Send us your artwork and the details you know, and our team will review everything before your project goes into production.

Before You Upload

Follow these recommendations when possible. If you’re unsure about anything, upload what you have and our prepress team will review it.

PDF Is Preferred

For most projects, a print-ready PDF provides the best results. Export your artwork at the highest quality available.

Designed in Canva? Easy.

Download your design as PDF Print. Turn on bleed if images or colors extend to the edge.

Add Bleed When Needed

Anything printing to the edge should extend 1/8" (.125") beyond the finished size.

Use High-Quality Images

Images should be approximately 300 dpi at final size. Avoid screenshots and images saved from websites when possible.

Using Adobe Creative Cloud?

Print-ready PDFs are preferred. We can also accept packaged InDesign files and properly prepared Illustrator or Photoshop files.

Have Something Else? Send It.

Not sure if your file is print-ready? Upload what you have. We’ll review it and contact you if anything else is needed.

If you’re preparing professional print files or want to make sure everything is set up correctly, use the guidelines below.

File Format

A print-ready PDF is preferred. We also accept high-resolution JPG, TIFF, EPS, AI and PSD files when appropriate.

Package InDesign projects with all fonts and linked graphics when native files are required.

Resolution

Images should generally be 300 dpi at final printed size. For many banners and large-format applications, 100–150 dpi at final size is sufficient.

Bleed

Artwork extending to the finished edge should include at least 1/8" (.125") bleed on all sides.

An 8.5" × 11" piece should measure 8.75" × 11.25" when standard bleed is included.

Safe Area

Keep important text, logos and critical elements at least 1/8"–1/4" inside the trim edge.

Color

CMYK is preferred. RGB files can be converted, but some colors may change. Identify any required Pantone/PMS colors in your instructions.

Fonts

Embed fonts in the PDF. For native Adobe files, include the fonts or convert them to outlines where appropriate.

Transparencies & Effects

Export using a high-quality print PDF setting. Modern print-ready PDFs generally handle transparencies, shadows and other effects correctly.

Canva

Select PDF Print and enable bleed when printing to the edge. Start your Canva design at the actual finished size whenever possible.

Microsoft Word & PowerPoint

Export the completed document as a high-quality PDF before uploading. We’ll review the PDF for anything that could affect production.

Multi-Page Documents

Submit brochures, booklets and catalogs as one PDF with individual pages in reading order. Do not build printer spreads unless requested.

Folds, Die Cuts & Special Finishing

Include required dielines, fold guides and production instructions. Keep production marks on clearly identified separate layers when possible.

Variable Data & Mailing

Supply artwork and data separately. Excel or CSV is preferred, with one type of information per column. Do not place mailing addresses directly in the artwork.

Large Format

Submit signs, banners and displays at full size or at a clearly identified scale. Vector artwork is preferred for logos and graphics.

Crop Marks

Crop marks are acceptable but not required when the PDF page size and bleed are correct. Don’t manually draw crop marks into the artwork.

File Size & Multiple Files

You may upload multiple files. Package jobs containing many linked or supporting files into a single ZIP file.

Still not sure?

Don’t let file specifications stop you. Upload what you have and our prepress team will contact you if anything needs attention before production.
